Weara is a Melbourne-based pickup and delivery service connecting customers with selected providers for alterations, clothing repairs, dry cleaning and specialist care, and shoe and leather care.

Information We Collect

Depending on how you interact with Weara, we may collect information including:

  • email address;

  • phone number;

  • pickup and delivery address;

  • booking and order information;

  • information about the items and services you book;

  • photographs you upload or that are taken in connection with an order;

  • your communications with Weara;

  • payment and transaction information;

  • information relating to complaints, refunds or service issues; and

  • technical or website-usage information collected through our website and associated technologies.

Payments are processed through third-party payment providers. Weara does not intend to store your full payment-card details where those details are processed directly by our payment provider.

  • arrange collection and delivery;

  • assess and fulfil requested services;

  • communicate with you about your order;

  • provide relevant information and instructions to service providers;

  • improve Weara’s services and customer experience;

Sharing Information with Service Providers

Weara may share information with the service provider carrying out your requested work where that information is reasonably necessary to assess or complete the service.

Where possible, Weara intends to minimise the personal information shared with providers.

Relevant information may include:

  • a Weara order or job number;

  • item and service information;

  • your instructions;

  • relevant photographs; and

  • other information reasonably required to perform the service.

Weara does not ordinarily intend to provide service providers with your home address, personal phone number or email address where those details are not required to fulfil the service.

Customers and service providers communicate through Weara rather than directly as part of Weara’s standard service model.

Other Third Parties

Weara uses third-party services to operate its business. Personal information may be disclosed to or processed by third parties where reasonably necessary, including providers of:

  • website hosting and functionality;

  • online forms and booking systems;

  • customer and order-management systems;

  • payment processing;

  • email, messaging and communications;

  • data storage and technology services;

  • delivery/logistics services where applicable; and

  • professional services such as legal, accounting or insurance advisers.

We aim to disclose only the information reasonably necessary for the relevant service or purpose.

Photos

Weara may collect photographs you provide when making a booking and photographs taken in connection with the collection, assessment, performance or delivery of a service.

These photographs may be used to:

  • understand the service you are requesting;

  • provide instructions to the relevant service provider;

  • document an item’s condition;

  • assist with assessment or completion of the service;

  • record collection or delivery; and

  • investigate a complaint, damage claim or other issue relating to an order.

Relevant photographs may be shared with the service provider performing your service.

Weara will not use customer-submitted or order-related photographs for marketing purposes without appropriate permission.

Storage, Security and Retention

Weara may collect photographs you provide when making a booking and photographs taken in connection with the collection, assessment, performance or delivery of a service.

These photographs may be used to:

Overseas Processing

Some of the third-party technology providers Weara uses may store or process information outside Australia.

Marketing Communications

Transactional communications relating to your booking - such as booking, collection, service and delivery updates - are part of providing the Weara service.

Marketing communications are separate.

Where required, Weara will obtain appropriate consent before sending marketing communications. You can unsubscribe from marketing communications using the unsubscribe option provided or by contacting Weara.

Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent Weara from sending communications reasonably necessary to manage an active order or service.

Access and Correction

You may contact Weara if you would like to request access to personal information we hold about you or ask us to correct information that you believe is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.

We will respond to requests in accordance with applicable privacy law.
